Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 13-week contract
• Level III NICU care for neonates, including very premature infants and those needing respiratory, surgical, or cardiac support

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Competency in cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proficiency in gastrointestinal feeding methods and management of oral, nasogastric, and nasojejunal tubes
• Expertise in IV therapy, including umbilical artery and vein catheter management

Experience

• Experience in NICU Level III and Level IV settings
• Competency in cardiovascular dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proficiency with gastrointestinal feeding methods and oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tube management
• Experience with infection control, IV therapy, and umbilical artery/vein catheter management

Clinical Focus

• Respiratory distress management
• Glucose management
• Care for neonates requiring surgery or cardiac interventions
• Arterial line management
• Central line care
• Neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions
• Ventilator management, including AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP

Additional Notes

• Prior experience at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is given special consideration
