CT Tech

Job Details

  • Location: Portland, Oregon
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Start date: ASAP, any Monday
  • Shift: Nights, Thursday–Saturday, 3x12 hours
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Weekend requirement: Every weekend
  • Holiday requirement: Must work holidays that fall on the normal shift
  • On-call: Not anticipated
  • Floating: Required within the site and across the system
  • Local candidates: Not accepted if living within 50 miles of any Legacy facility
  • First-time travelers: Not accepted
  • Block scheduling: May be accommodated
  • RTO: Finalized RTO must be included with submission; no RTO in the first week; no more than 7 days per assignment

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
  • CT Technologist (1 year of experience)
  • CT Technologist experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • ARRT (CT)
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Siemens CT scanner experience
  • IV skills

Additional Notes

  • Travelers must complete assigned education within one week of assignment
  • Competency exam required for all clinical candidates
  • 2 professional references required
  • Criminal background check required
  • Physical exam required within 1 year before start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year before start
  • Tdap required within 10 years of start, or signed declination
  • COVID vaccine documentation or declination required
  • Flu vaccine or signed declination required during flu season
  • Respirator clearance required
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/documentation required
  • Drug screen required within 12 months of start
  • Radiation badge required

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
