Respiratory Therapist
Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience in a Critical Care setting
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Emergency Department experience
- Proficiency with Hamilton G5, PB 980, Respironics V60, Optiflow, Lumis tx, Cough Assist, Vest, and IPV equipment
Compliance and Onboarding
- Background check required within 30 days of start
- Pennsylvania state-specific search required within 30 days of start
- Pennsylvania child abuse search required within 90 days of start
- Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint results required within 90 days of start
- Pennsylvania PATCH search results required within 90 days of start
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check required upon hire
- HHS/OIG check required upon hire
- Education verification required
- Employment application required with 7 years of complete work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
- Minimum of 2 professional references required, both from employment within 12 months of start
- Affidavit for provisional employment required prior to start
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required
- Fit test questionnaire required prior to start
- Respirator safety clearance required for candidates starting 04/07/2025 and beyond
Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 2 months of start
- Fit mask completed onsite
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation required
- Drug screen required within 60 days of start
- COVID-19 vaccination or declination required
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
Schedule Expectations
- Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
