Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- CVPICU (2 years of experience)
- CVPICU experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of cardiac experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Experience and Skills
- IV therapy, including port access, blood product administration, central line care, PICC management, and TPN/lipids
- Phlebotomy
- Urinary catheter insertion and management
- Infection control and PPE
- Wound care
- BiPAP/CPAP
- Ventilator care
- Airway maintenance
- Chest tube and intubation assistance
- ETCO2 monitoring
- HFNC
- Suctioning
- Tracheostomy care
- Insulin administration
- Gastric/NG tube management
- Anti-seizure medications
- Antiarrhythmics
- IV vasopressors
- Pediatric dosage calculations
- Broselow system
- Congenital heart disease/repair care
- CT patient care including valve replacements
- Glenn and Fontan procedures
- Cardiac cath and ablation care
- Cardiac transplant care
- Post-cardiac surgery care
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Telemetry/tele monitoring
- Medtronic pacemakers
- Peritoneal dialysis
- Pre/post hemodialysis

Unit Details
- 19-bed unit
- Patient population includes infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
- Floating may include Pediatrics and NICU if needed, within skillset
- Navy blue scrubs
