Long-Term Care Registered Nurse Supervisor

Location

Vestal, New York

Contract

Travel/contract assignment
16 weeks
Night shift, 5x8 hours: 10:45 PM–7:15 AM
Every other weekend required
Start dates are every 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling

Role Summary

Registered Nurse supervisor role
Supervises others and works a med-cart
Long-term care / skilled nursing / rehab setting
Resident population includes Alzheimer’s and dementia care

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New York
Long Term Care (1 year of experience)
Long Term Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule / Assignment Expectations

Shift cannot be changed once offered
RTO can only be approved at submission
Cannot take every holiday off
Local candidates accepted
First-time travelers accepted

Work Environment

300-bed facility
Typical ratio: 1:18–20
May need to supervise CNAs on assigned units

Additional Notes

Must complete onboarding modules before start
Free parking
No mileage reimbursement
PCC charting is not required to submit

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
