Operating Room RN Travel Contract

Location

• New Orleans, Louisiana

Contract Details

• 13 weeks
• Day shift, 5x8 hours
• 6:15 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call requirement to be discussed in interview

Specialty Focus

• Must be highly proficient in ophthalmology (adult and pediatric), pediatric orthopedics, pediatric general surgery, and pediatric ENT

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Proficiency in pediatric orthopedic surgery
• Proficiency in pediatric general surgery
• Proficiency in pediatric ENT
• Ophthalmology experience
• Experience with Epic

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS

• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation required
• Tdap required
• Flu vaccination, declination, or approved exemption required during flu season
• CLEAR enrollment required for identity verification
• Fit testing required
• Competency exam required
• Employment history documentation required, including explanation of gaps if applicable

Assignment Notes

• Traveler may be assigned to an emergency team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team
