Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room professional with a minimum of 3 years circulator experience and EPIC proficiency in a teaching hospital setting.
Details
- Operating Room unit in a teaching hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday (6:15 AM - 2:45 PM)
- On-call requirements to be discussed during interview
- Requires proficiency in ophthalmology (adult & pediatric), pediatric ortho, pediatric general, and pediatric ENT cases
- Uses EPIC charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (LA or Compact) required in hand upon submission
- Minimum 3 years of circulator experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- BLS certification required (AHA)
- Conscious sedation and circulate/telemetry skills preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Up-to-date NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission)
Additional Information
- Circulate and support surgical procedures across multiple specialties including ophthalmology, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric general surgery, and pediatric ENT
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring on-site presence during emergency events, with relief team rotation as needed
- Orientation held 5 days per week
- Two Manager/Supervisor references (not Charge RNs) required prior to start, though not required for initial consideration
- Requires 65+ mile radius from facility for travel eligibility; local candidates not accepted
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Previous permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be documented on profile and discussed during interview to avoid offer rescission
