NICU Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Charlottesville, Virginia
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Starts in November
- Scheduled for 36 or 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Infant-Driven Feeding™ Advancing Oral Feeding Practice in the NICU
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Additional Required Item
- Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding certification is required; may be submitted pending, with a $200 cost
Scheduling Notes
- Must work 3 weekends during each 6-week scheduling period
- Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
- Up to 40 hours of time off may be approved
- Time off is not approved during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
Health and Compliance Requirements
- 2-step PPD or Qgold for TB clearance
- Tdap vaccination after age 11
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity documentation
- Drug screen within 2 months of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation
- Physical exam documentation
- Background check and other standard pre-start compliance documents
