Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Arlington, Virginia
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift, 3x12s
- Start date is ASAP, dependent on EPIC experience/training schedule
Unit Details
- Emergency department in a Level II trauma center
- Magnet-designated facility
- Certified comprehensive stroke center with 24/7 interventional cardiology
- Fast-paced ED with 65,000 annual visits
- 36-bed ED, including 8 express care beds
- Cares for patients across the lifespan, from neonate to geriatric
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Schedule
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Flu vaccination is required during flu season; approved medical or religious exemptions may be allowed with supporting documentation
- Government-issued photo ID
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation
- 2 clinical references
- Complete application/resume
- Standard 7-year work history verification
- 7-year criminal background check
- Education verification
- Pre-employment physical within 1 year of start
- Fit test within the last 12 months
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire
- Drug screen within 30 days of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity/vaccination documentation
- Tetanus/diphtheria/Tdap documentation
- Color blindness testing
- Core competency modules and facility orientation documents before start
- HIPAA, confidentiality, safety, privacy, dress code, parking, and other facility acknowledgements before start
