Overview
- Role: CVPICU RN
- Location: Portland, Oregon
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: 3x12 Nights
- Start day: Tuesdays
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekend requirement: Yes
- Call requirement: No
- Floating: May float to NICU and Pediatric Units
- Locals accepted: Yes
- Pending license accepted: Yes, if the application has been submitted and received by the licensing board
- First-time travelers: Accepted with PICU experience
- Holiday requirement: Must be available to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- CVPICU experience with 2 years of experience
- CVPICU experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CVICU experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- NRP
Clinical setting
- CVPICU
- Bedside procedures may include central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubations/extubations, CRRT initiation/discontinuation, ECMO cannulations/decannulations, chest exploration, and other emergent operative procedures for patients unable to transport to the OR
- Hard stop: experience with CVICU and post-op hearts
