Description

Pediatric/NICU RN

Overview

  • Travel/Contract role in Lafayette, Indiana
  • Based in the Pediatrics Department
  • Night shift: 4x12 hours, 18:00–6:30
  • 13-week contract
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Locals not accepted
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • Floating required to Pediatrics and NICU
  • Candidate must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1.5 years of experience)
  • NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Pediatrics experience
  • State license verification required
  • Unit competency exam required
  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required
  • Color Blind Testing required
  • Minimum of 2 references from recent employment
  • Employment application must be current and include work history
  • Skills checklist required
  • Application must account for 7 years of history and all gaps

Preferred

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
