Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- Intermediate Care (2 years of experience)
- Intermediate Care experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in Charge roles
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Use of Rapid Response Teams
- Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization care
- Central line care and management
- PICC line management
- Management of cardiac drips without titration
- Heparin protocols
- Traumatic brain injury care
- Care of ventilated patients
Skills / Clinical Experience
- Telemetry monitoring on the unit
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Use of Rapid Response Teams
- Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
- Central line care/management
- Peripheral line care/management
- PICC line management
- Manage cardiac drips, including titration
- Heparin protocols
- Traumatic Brain Injury care
- Care of ventilated patient
- External CPAP/BIPAP
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Tracheostomy management
- Isolation precautions
Preferred
- EPIC familiarity
