PICU RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Shreveport, Louisiana
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–7:15
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Unit has 8 rooms, average census of 5, and a 1:2 ratio
- Floating is to other peds/NICU units
- Open to first-time travelers
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually
- Must be willing to participate in emergency event staffing if assigned
- Must be willing to work 2 weekend rotations per month

- Special equipment includes vents, Alaris IV pump, cooling blankets, cardiac monitoring, high-frequency oscillatory vents, PCA pumps, EEG ICP & BIS monitoring, and EVD systems
