Intensive Care Unit Boise Hospital Flr 3 RN
Overview
- 13-week travel assignment in Boise, Idaho
- 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a
- 36 hours per week
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit Boise Hospital Flr 3
- Combined SICU and MICU unit with 16 beds each
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 and 1:2
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- 2 years ICU experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel experience
- Experience in a similar size or larger ICU and hospital
Clinical Details
- Common patient types include CABG, CVA, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral brain hemorrhage, GI bleeds, DKA, STEMI, Septic Shock, OD, respiratory failure, neuro surgery, and open hearts
- Travelers do not need experience with CRRT, ECMO, or balloon pump
- Does not include trauma, burns, or transplants
- RNs are required to titrate drips
- Common drips include Dopamine, Epi, Norepi, cardene, nitro, neo, vasopressin, diltiazem, insulin, and esmolol
- RN monitors and reads strips
Scheduling and Float
- Every other weekend or half of weekends required
- Holidays as needed
- No call or standby
- Floating includes other ICUs in the Valley: Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center
- May also float outside ICU as a 1:1 sitter
