Cath Lab RN - Cardiology
Overview
- Specialty/Unit: Cardiology, Cardiac Cath Lab
- Employment status: Full Time
- Shift: Days, 0800-1630
- Call: Required every 2-3rd weekend, 1-3/week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
Provide patient care for adult and geriatric populations in a cardiovascular lab setting, including support before, during, and after diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- 1 year of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care to adult and geriatric populations
- Collaborate with physicians and communicate patient status before, during, and after procedures
- Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and equipment
- Manage supplies and inventory for case-specific materials
- Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures
- Assess and document patient condition in the Cardiovascular Lab
- Participate in quality improvement activities
