Cardiac Cath Lab RN

Location

• Rockford, Illinois

Contract Length

• 15 weeks

Schedule

• Day shift
• 4 x 9-hour shifts per week
• Rotating weekday and weekend call coverage
• Holiday call required if the holiday falls during the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• STEMI experience

Preferred Experience

• IR experience
• Neuro IR experience

Assignment Details

• 5 suites/labs
• Average daily cases include coronary, neuro, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology procedures
• Floating is limited to the cath lab department only, including Coronary, Neuro IR, Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, and Prep & Recovery
• Manager/Charge Nurse present on each shift
• Cath Lab Techs scrub and monitor cases

Orientation

• 12 hours of non-billable orientation
• Orientation is individualized based on previous experience and typically includes 1–2 days in each procedural area

Additional Notes

• Candidate must provide the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off for submission
• Candidate must be able to produce a negative drug screen for all panels
• Hospital-provided surgical scrubs are used
