Medical Surgical RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri
- 12-week contract
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
- Ratios: 1:6
- Start date is 3–4 weeks out per compliance tier
- First-time travelers accepted
- Weekend requirement: every other
- Guaranteed hours
- Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs
- Locals are not accepted
- Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- Pending license accepted
- No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Must pass Relias EKG exam
- Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required
- Government-issued ID
- Background check
- Education verification of highest education related to nursing
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
- Missouri EDL search
- Missouri Highway Patrol check
- Primary source verification of professional license
- NURSYS verification
- Unit-specific competency exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- Employment application
- Skills checklist within 1 year of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask
- Tdap vaccine or declination
- Negative TB or chest X-ray
- Flu vaccination or exemption during flu season

- Acute medicine population includes DM, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule-outs, and cancer patients not receiving current chemo
- This unit does not care for surgical patients
