ER
Role Overview
- Travel/Contract RN in the Emergency Department.
- Assigned to one campus, with possible rotation to other campuses and ED observation.
- Will crosstrain and float to other campuses and ED observation.
- Level I Trauma Center.
- Short Term Acute Care facility.
Schedule
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00.
- 36 hours per week.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Every other weekend required.
- Block scheduling may be accommodated.
- On-call is not required.
- Guaranteed hours.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- ED - Emergency Department (1.5 years of experience).
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
- One completed travel assignment.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course.
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience.
Clinical Details
- Average ratio: 1:6 on days and 1:6 on nights.
- Charting system: Epic.
Additional Notes
- RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.
- Travelers do not get trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units.
- Parking costs $125/month.
