RRT PICU

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Anchorage, Alaska
• Night shift, with possibility to fill in day shifts if necessary
• 3x12 schedule, 36 hours per week
• Ratio: 1:4
• Every other weekend required
• Float scope includes CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PICU, PCU, and FBS
• Provides care to CCU, Flex Unit, SDU, PEDS, PICU, PCU, and FBS; not just PICU or PEDS

Required Qualifications

• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with 4 years of experience
• Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
• Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience
• Alaska state license required; compact license accepted at time of submittal, but AK license must be in place before start for acute specialties

Preferred Qualifications

• PICU, NICU, and Adult ICU experience

• Locals not accepted within 50 miles
• On-call not required
• Cerner charting
• Special equipment includes Servo U, V-60, and HFNC
• Guaranteed hours: up to 36 hours
• Background check, education verification, transcript/diploma, fingerprinting, sex offender search, competency exams, health documents, references, skills checklist, and onboarding paperwork are required for clearance and start
• Physical exam, fit mask, Tdap, TB screening, MMR immunity, Hepatitis B status, varicella immunity, drug testing, and flu documentation are required for clearance
