MS/Tele
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Chesapeake, Virginia.
- 13-week assignment.
- Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30.
- Schedule options: 3x12s or 4x12s.
- Unit: 6W Med/Surg Tele – Post-Surgical Unit.
- High-volume post-surgical unit caring for urology and GYN surgical populations.
- Typical patient ratio: 1:7.
- Every other weekend, floating, and holidays are required.
- Travelers must work two of the three winter holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Valid RN license in Virginia.
- Minimum of two years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience.
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
- Driver's License.
- Proficiency with Epic EHR system.
- EKG competency and rhythm interpretation.
- NIH Stroke Certification.
Required Certifications
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
Preferred
- Previous travel experience.
- Preferred schedule should be clearly indicated at submission.
Additional Notes
- Overtime is paid after 48 hours for 4x12 schedules.
- Candidates must be fully pre-closed and comfortable with the patient ratios before submission.
