Oncology RN
Role
- RN in Oncology
- Shift: Nights, 1900-0700
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
- Assignment length: 13 weeks
- Number of openings: 1
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Oncology experience within the last year
- 1 year of Oncology experience
- Experience in an Inpatient setting
- Med Surg experience
- Driver's License
- Experience and competence in drug titration
- Chemo Certification
- NIHSS, which may be submitted without but must be obtained prior to start
- Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1-April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Qualifications
- Med surg, oncology, infusion experience
Unit Details
- Floor: Oncology 7A
- 23 beds
- Patient ratio: 6:1, adjusted for certain chemotherapy regimens
- Float: rotational basis within med surg cluster only
Patient Population
- Oncology/hematology
- Some med surg overflow
- Comfort care
Additional Notes
- Auto-offer
- Weekend hours as required by facility
- No call
- Black scrubs required
- Night shift orients on day shift and must be available the entire week
