Description

Home Care Registered Nurse

Overview

Contract role in St. Albans, Vermont
Home Care and Hospice coverage needed
13-week contract
37 hours per week
Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 8am-4pm
On-call rotation and holidays required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Vermont
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
Home Health experience within the last year
Home Health (2 years of experience)
Hospice experience

Responsibilities

Assess patient and caregiver needs and develop realistic plans of care
Serve as case manager for assigned patients and manage caseloads and visit times
Implement medical plans of care, nursing interventions, and procedures
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
Evaluate patient responses and overall quality of care
Perform patient and caregiver education
Identify interdisciplinary needs and communicate them to other disciplines
Assess needs for HCA services and provide ongoing supervision
Transmit patient incident reports as needed
Ensure infection control standards are maintained
Ensure supervisory visits are not combined with routine visits when necessary

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
