RRT PICU
Overview

- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
- Hours per week: 36
Role Details
- The assignment is for an RRT PICU role.
- Candidates must be comfortable caring for PICU, Peds, and Adult patient populations.
- Unit will accept first-time travelers.
- Weekend coverage is scheduled as needed.
- Candidates may be assigned to an Emergency Team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility until the event passes or serve on the relief team.
- Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Experience working with PICU patients
- Experience working with Adult patients
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience
