RN - Home Health

Overview

Travel RN role in Home Health Care
Coverage for staff leave in Waldo County
5 openings
Day shift: 0800-1700
Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
Schedule: Monday-Friday with every other weekend rotation
No overnight call; call back may be required 2-4 times a month between 1700-2000
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Home Health (2 years of experience)
Home Health experience within the last year
BLS
Wound Care experience
Experience with Epic
Experience with OASIS

Preferred Qualifications

IV therapy
Tube feeds
VAC dressings
Compression wraps
Port access
Ostomies
Chest tubes
S/p catheters
Lab draw

Unit / Patient Population

Adult med surg, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, GI, and GU patients
Case management workload: 20-25 patients, with an expectation of 5-6 visits per day

Additional Details

Float requirements: None
Equipment provided for the assignment includes a laptop, iPhone, nursing supply bin, nursing bag with vital signs equipment, INR machine, and agency bag; all must be returned at departure
Dress code: business casual or scrubs in any color
Unacceptable attire: jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
