Outpatient Surgery RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Kingsport, Tennessee
- Outpatient Surgery assignment based at an Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at the ASC, with float work at Indian Path Community Hospital on either Wednesday or Thursday each week
- Day shift: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- No on-call requirement
- May be expected to stay after 4:30 p.m. if cases run late
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Outpatient Surgery experience within the last year
- 1 year of Outpatient Surgery experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Preferred
- 3 references preferred
Additional Notes
- 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
- General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online CBLs
- May be canceled/called off one shift biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
- Additional shifts above the work commitment may be flexed as needed for census or resource needs without penalty
- Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education
