Emergency Room RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Belleville, Illinois
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 18:45–7:15
• 36 hours per week
• Start date: 3–4 weeks per compliance tier, with biweekly starts
• Ratios: 1:3
• First-timers accepted
• Every other weekend required
• May float between Belleville and East, and to inpatient floors if needed
• Locals not accepted; local radius is 75 miles
• Pending license not accepted
• RTO restriction: 7 days within a 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Illinois
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Experience with central line insertion
• Experience with arterial line insertion
• Experience with chest tube insertion
• Experience with therapeutic hypothermia
• Experience with intubation
• Experience with code stroke management
• Experience with code STEMI management
• Experience with code blue team response
• Experience with trauma patient care
• Experience with pediatric patient care

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI
• TNCC

Clinical Notes

• Emergency Room assignment
• Special requirements include central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tubes, post-cardiac arrest hypothermia, intubations, code strokes, code STEMI, code blue team, trauma patients, pediatric patients, transfers, sexual assault cases, and mental health patients boarding until appropriate placement is found
