Med/Surg Pediatric RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Kansas City, Missouri
- 2 openings
- Day shift: 3x12s or 4x12s
- Start dates: 11/09, 11/16, or 11/30
- 13-week contract
Unit
- 18-bed pediatric unit with two distinct sides
- Short-stay care for a diverse pediatric population
- Common patient types include appendectomies, tonsil and adenoidectomies, viral illnesses, ingestions requiring medical clearance, and behavioral health concerns with underlying medical needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Pediatric Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Pediatric Med Surg experience
- 1 year or more of total travel experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or PEARS
Preferred Qualifications
- Behavioral/psychiatric experience
- Pediatrics experience
Additional Notes
- Candidates should be willing to care for patients with behavioral health needs
- RQI certifications are not accepted
- AHA courses/certifications need to be scheduled at time of job acceptance
- Same rate for locals
