Perfusionist

Overview

• Location: Fargo, North Dakota
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
• Call: One night per week and every other or every third weekend
• Start time: First case starts at 0730 on weekdays
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS certification, AHA only
• Minimum 2 years of recent related work experience
• Willing and able to take call
• ND does not require a license
• Evidence of clinical activity: 40 encounters in the last 12 months
• Completed application
• List of employments and employment dates
• If working with a staffing company, include that in employment history with dates and locations worked
• COIs, if applicable, for each employment
• Copy of training/diploma
• Copy of board certification
• Notarized ID
• Employee health clearance, including TB titer and urine drug screen
• If starting between December and May, evidence of flu vaccine or exemption form
• Must note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health
• If previously worked with Sanford, must have an end date 6 months prior to submission date

Preferred

• ABCP certification

Clinical Details

• Provides perfusion support for on pump and off pump CABG, valve replacement surgeries, and TAVR support for adults only
• Float to the Broadway campus only if able to do HIPEC
• Unit has 2 OR rooms, access to a robotic room, and all TAVRs are done in the hybrid cath lab
• Works with a team of 3 surgeons and 4 perfusionists
• 1:1 orientation with a perfusionist
