Opportunity:

RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Day off varies week to week with 6-week scheduling cycles
• On-call responsibilities include 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month (Friday 5:30 PM - Monday 7:00 AM)
• Weekend rotation requires 1 weekend on-call per month
• Holiday expectations include working 1 major holiday during contract
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS and Illinois Radiology Technologist license
• Scrub into procedures with procedural physicians and support intra-procedure workflows
• Operate imaging equipment including Philips Azurion, Carto EP Ablations, PFA Ablations, EKOS, IABP, Temp Pacer, MERGE Hemo, Shockwave, CSI, IVUS/FFR
• Maintain sterile technique and familiarity with Cath/EP/IR supplies and equipment
• Practice radiation safety protocols
• Work with patient types including cardiac catheterization, peripheral catheterization, AAA repairs, electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implants
• Average patient census of 12-15 patients per day
• Use EPIC EMR system
• No floating required
• Hospital-provided blue scrubs

This healthcare facility is a 289-licensed bed hospital with Level II trauma designation. The organization operates as a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center, providing comprehensive cardiovascular and interventional services. The interventional radiology department is building a new team and offers support through management staff, 5 other radiology technologists, and 8 RNs. The facility utilizes advanced technology and equipment to provide high-quality patient care in interventional procedures.
