Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts on the Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down Unit
• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• 13-week contract length starting ASAP
• Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Patient ratio typically 1:4 in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac step-down unit
• Can be low censused and put on call with 2-hour minimum call back pay
• Must have Wisconsin RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Must be able to pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Minimum 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU) required
• 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one completed travel assignment required
• 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Care for post-op CABG/valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defibrillator, ablations, acute chest pain/MI patients
• Handle medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, femoral popliteal bypass
• Fast-paced environment with high patient turnover requiring independent management and timely task completion
