Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour variable shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirements: 12 hours in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum is 2 hours when called in
• May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Work in fast-paced Trauma Level II environment with 18-bed unit
• Patient assignments typically 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, nebulizer treatments, and comprehensive emergency care
• Care for stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients
• Use EPIC computer charting system and Pyxis medication dispenser
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience with at least 1 year travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be hard-working, resilient, and able to manage change well
• Must work independently and complete tasks in timely manner

Facility:

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency services department with Trauma Level II designation and stroke certification. The facility features an 18-bed emergency unit equipped with modern technology including EPIC computer systems and Pyxis medication dispensers. The emergency department provides in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staff, enabling comprehensive emergency care for diverse patient populations including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases.
