Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day/PM shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked
• 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirements: 12 hours in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum of 2 hours when called in from low census
• May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Care for 3-4 patients per nurse in a fast-paced trauma environment
• Work with trauma level II, stroke certified patients including cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and comprehensive patient care
• Use Epic computer charting system and Pyxis medication dispenser
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience with at least one year of travel experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Must be able to work independently, manage change well, and complete tasks timely

This healthcare facility operates a trauma level II, 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and provides comprehensive emergency care. The facility maintains in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staff in the emergency department. The organization serves a broad patient population including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases in a fast-paced emergency environment with advanced medical technology and support services.
