Opportunity:

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift times vary, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST
• Schedule may shift to accommodate after school outpatient appointments or supervise inpatient/swing bed patients during dinner
• No float, on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements
• Master's degree required
• Minimum 3+ years of experience required
• Illinois Speech Therapist License and BLS certification required
• Charting experience with MedHost and WebPT required
• Must use PACS to view modified barium swallow studies
• Patient population includes majority geriatric with pediatric outpatients
• Provide cognitive assessments and management
• Perform swallowing assessments and management including modified barium swallow studies
• Treat both adult and pediatric outpatients
• Must demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Work with inpatient and swing bed unit alongside full-time PT and OT staff
• Dress code requires dark scrub pants (navy, gray, black) and therapy-related t-shirts/sweatshirts
• No local candidates within 40-mile radius accepted
