Opportunity:

RAD Tech - RAD Tech

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 7 on/7 off rotation schedule
• Prepare patients and perform radiographic procedures in diagnostic radiology under direction of radiologist or other providers
• Operate imaging equipment and perform diagnostic studies according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols
• Utilize appropriate radiation protection measures following ALARA principles
• Position patients appropriately and select technical factors to produce high-quality diagnostic images with minimal repeats
• Interview patients to obtain medical history and document information into RIS system
• Explain procedures to patients and provide clear instructions throughout examinations
• Review studies for technical accuracy and ensure correct image identification with proper ID markers and annotation
• Approve images, match orders to images, and archive to PACS system
• Perform PACS reconciliations accurately and completely in timely manner
• Document fluoro time and estimated skin exposure for fluoroscopic studies
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC system and follow complete workflow from order entry to exam completion
• Maintain flexibility for scheduling reassignments and shift rotations including weekends, call, and holidays
• Assist with patient transport as needed and collaborate with radiologists and ordering providers
• Required certifications: ARRT registered RT (R) in diagnostic radiology, current Wisconsin state radiographer license, AHA BLS certification
• Required education: Post-high school completion of ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program
• One year of current clinical experience or clinical student experience required
• Must be self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills
