Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4 x 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Flexible rotation schedule with no block scheduling accommodations
• On-call requirements: 7 days per month total including 1 weekday call per week (Monday-Thursday) and 1 weekend every 4 weeks (Friday-Sunday)
• On-call hours: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM Monday-Friday, 24 hours Saturday-Sunday
• 30-minute response time for on-call duties
• Float between Cath Lab, EP (Electrophysiology), and IR (Interventional Radiology) departments
• Rarely assist in OR
• Function independently in cases with 1:1 patient ratios
• Work in blended lab environment performing various procedures including STEMI, IABP, staged PCI, generator exchanges, ablations, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and embolizations
• Utilize EPIC charting system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and specialized equipment including MERGE Hemo, Phillips C-arm, and Volcano systems
• 2 years of experience required with critical care experience preferred
• Required certifications: RN license, ACLS, BLS, and BSN degree
• Strong IV skills, medication titration abilities, and cardiac rhythm interpretation required
• 1-2 days unit orientation provided depending on skill set
• Scrubs provided, free parking available
• No artificial fingernails or extenders permitted, natural nails must be less than ¼ inch long

This 231-bed teaching hospital operates a comprehensive cardiovascular services department featuring 1 Cath Lab, 1 EP Lab, 1 IR suite, and 1 TEE/Cardioversion room. The facility provides advanced cardiac and interventional procedures with a team-oriented, travel-friendly culture. The department is well-equipped with state-of-the-art technology and maintains dedicated pre/post procedure teams along with specialized lead technicians for each service area.
