Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or night shift from 7:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity
• 3 years of ICU experience required, CRRT experience with Nxstage preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Must have experience with ventilator/trach management, invasive line management (A-line, CVP, Swan), drains/tube management, foley management, chest tubes, post-surgical recovery, post-cath experience, CVVH, balloon pumps, and CRRT
• Care for various patient types including COVID, sepsis, stroke with TPA, general surgical, cardiac/vascular, and post-catheterization patients
• Float to intermediate units (1:3), medical-surgical units, ED boarding (1:4), and observation units (1:4)
• Travelers will float first
• Use EPIC charting system (preferred), Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing
• One day orientation with educator and preceptor
• Scrub color: any color except camo, denim, or hoodies
• No on-call responsibilities
• More than 2 sick calls may result in contract evaluation and possible termination

This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center featuring 136 beds and operates as a Level III Trauma Center with Level II NICU capabilities and Primary Stroke Center designation. The ICU is a 17-bed unit with 24/7 intensivist coverage, dedicated ICU pharmacist during day shifts, respiratory therapy support around the clock, and bedside telemetry monitoring. The facility provides excellent support staff including charge nurses, unit secretaries, phlebotomy teams, and educators to ensure comprehensive patient care and staff support.
