Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Provide respiratory services for pediatric patients including nebulizers, MDI inhalers, and chest physiotherapy
• Treat acute cases such as RSV, Entero-Rhino viruses requiring high flow oxygen and suctioning, Flu, and intubated ICU patients
• Manage chronic cases including Asthma and SMA
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios
• Experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilation, Servo ventilator, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), airway clearance techniques, aerosol delivery, and high flow devices required
• Float to NICU, PICU, general care pediatric floors, and pediatric ER in rotation
• Work every other weekend rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday expectations include 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• One shift orientation to learn facility flow
• Required certifications: RRT, NRP, BLS, PALS, RRT-NPS (preferred)
• Must be registered respiratory care practitioner with pediatric experience
• Use EPIC charting system, Pyxis, and Alaris equipment
• Gray scrub color required
• Free parking provided
• Accept travelers with 1 year experience and first-time travelers

This healthcare facility is a Magnet-designated, 180-bed teaching hospital that serves as a Level 1 Trauma center with a Level III NICU. The facility provides comprehensive pediatric respiratory services and maintains high standards of care with advanced equipment and specialized units. The organization supports both acute and chronic respiratory cases with a focus on pediatric care across multiple specialized units including NICU, PICU, and emergency services.
