Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work as a registered respiratory care practitioner with pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Provide respiratory services including nebulizer treatments, MDI inhalers, and chest physiotherapy
• Care for acute cases including RSV, Entero-Rhino viruses requiring high flow oxygen and suctioning, Flu, and intubated ICU patients
• Manage chronic cases including Asthma and SMA patients
• Experience required with invasive and non-invasive ventilation, Servo ventilator, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), airway clearance techniques, aerosol delivery, and high flow devices
• Float to NICU, PICU, general care pediatric floors, and Pediatric ER in rotation
• Use EPIC charting system, Pyxis, and Alaris equipment
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• Holiday expectations: 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• No on-call responsibilities
• 1 shift orientation to learn facility flow
• Gray scrubs required
• Free parking provided
• Required certifications: RRT, NRP, BLS, PALS
• RRT-NPS certification preferred
• Will accept travelers with 1 year experience and first-time travelers

This is a 180-bed Magnet-designated children's hospital featuring Level 1 Trauma capabilities and a Level III NICU. As a teaching hospital, it provides comprehensive pediatric care with advanced respiratory services and specialized units including NICU, PICU, and pediatric emergency services. The facility maintains high standards of care with charge therapists who often take patient assignments to support unit operations.
