Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour variable day/PM shifts (PM shifts start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM)
• 7-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• May float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• On-call requirements: 12 hours in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum is 2 hours when activated
• Can be low censused and placed on call
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• Minimum 5 years experience required with at least 1 year travel experience (firm requirement)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in fast-paced 18-bed trauma level II unit that is stroke certified
• Care for cardiac, neuro, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory patients
• Patient ratio of 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and using Pyxis medication dispenser
• Must be able to manage independently and complete tasks in timely manner
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Must comply with facility mask policy during flu season if unvaccinated
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive 18-bed emergency department with Trauma Level II designation and stroke certification. The facility provides full-service emergency care including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory services. The department features modern technology including EPIC electronic charting systems, Pyxis medication dispensers, in-house laboratory and respiratory therapy services, and on-site X-ray staff in the emergency department.
