Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every weekend position with rotating schedule between Friday/Saturday/Sunday and Saturday/Sunday/Monday
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract length
• On-call responsibilities on weekends
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float to all patient care areas including emergency department and general care areas
• Provide emergency services for Rapid Response and Code Blue situations
• Required certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP, RRT License, Wisconsin License
• ACLS preferred but not required (Aspirus requires AHA or ARC certifications)
• Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 2+ years experience required with NICU experience mandatory
• Proficiency with 0-6 month patients required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Must be comfortable being the only RT on night shifts if applicable
• Work with V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 vents, AVEA ventilators, VOCSN ventilators
• Chart in Epic system
• Perform basic respiratory care, critical care, ventilator management, patient assessments
• Conduct ABG draws, EKGs, holter/event monitoring for all age groups
• Dress code: closed-toe shoes, scrubs (any color), no smoking or scent allowed
• Must wear mask at all times during flu season if declining flu and COVID vaccinations
