Opportunity:

Paramedic - Paramedic

Job Details:

• Work in emergency department with paramedic responsibilities
• When not on ambulance calls, work within the ED supporting patient care
• 2 years of experience required
• Patient population includes neonate to geriatrics, all patient types including level III trauma
• Patient ratios: Day shift 1:3-4, Night shift 1:5
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Wisconsin License (Michigan license not required but must be in application process)
• General ED skills required
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• At least one shift orientation on unit
• Charting system: EPIC
• Equipment includes Alaris IV Pump and Pyxis
• Scrubs: Any color acceptable
• Support staff includes CNAs, charge nurses, resource nurses, respiratory therapy 24/7, and hospitalist coverage 24/7
• Bedside and nurse station telemetry monitoring available
• No floating required

This healthcare facility is a 99-bed Level III Trauma Center that operates its own ambulance service. The emergency department features 17 beds and provides comprehensive emergency care with 24/7 respiratory therapy and hospitalist support. The facility maintains a close-knit team environment and utilizes modern technology including EPIC charting system and advanced monitoring capabilities for optimal patient care delivery.
