Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• 36 guaranteed hours per week for 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 4-5 patients during night shift
• Strong cardiac/heart care experience required - minimum 1 year cardiac experience
• Minimum 2+ years medical-surgical experience required
• At least 1 travel contract completed preferred
• Must be comfortable with rhythm interpretation and familiar with routine cardiac care
• Experience with patient populations including open heart surgical, arrhythmia, chest pain, cardiac procedural patients, heart failure, and acute MI
• Will consider ICU nurses if comfortable with patient ratios
• Current Epic charting experience within 12 months required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Float requirements to Oconomowoc Memorial and/or Mukwonago facilities if needed
• No on-call or call back requirements
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

Facility:

This healthcare facility features a 31-bed Heart Care Unit (HCU) that operates as an intermediate care unit serving a diverse patient population. The unit specializes in cardiac care including heart failure, heart surgery, thoracic surgeries, pacemaker placements, ablations, TAVRs, and cardiac catheterizations, while also treating patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, strokes, and medical overflow cases. The facility maintains high standards for cardiac care and utilizes Epic charting systems to ensure comprehensive patient documentation and care coordination.
