Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care procedures and modalities in accordance with established standards and policies
• Perform patient assessments utilizing pulmonary diagnostics, chest radiographs, hemodynamic values, laboratory values, and blood gas analysis
• Operate specialized ventilators in both critical and non-critical care environments
• Assist physicians with bedside and other applicable procedures
• Administer medication treatments and therapies per physician orders and patient-driven respiratory protocols
• Clean, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of respiratory equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment and identify service/repair needs
• Educate patients on therapy purposes, techniques, self-care, and disease management
• Collaborate with other departments to provide patient education
• Demonstrate effective communication and conflict resolution skills
• Provide clear, concise, and timely patient handoffs
• Teach and precept new teammates, orientees, and students
• Must lift 50 pounds from knee to waist and floor to waist height occasionally
• Must lift 40 pounds at waist height and carry across various distances
• Must lift 20 pounds from waist to overhead
• Must push/pull utilizing 30 pounds of force occasionally for long distances
• Required certifications: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, RRT or CRT credential, BLS for Healthcare Providers
• Graduate from accredited respiratory care program with minimum associate degree required
• No prior experience required
