Opportunity:
RN - Observation Unit
Job Details:
• 13-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour variable day/night shifts: 7:00 AM-7:30 PM or 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• 1:4 patient ratio on 8-bed observation unit with 2 RNs per shift
• Can be low censused and placed on call with minimum 2-hour call back
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Must live outside 50-mile radius from facility
• 3 years nursing experience and 1 travel assignment required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS
• Must take EKG exam during compliance
• Background in observation units or step-down MS/Tele units required
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips required
• Care for patients with anemia, cellulitis, COPD, CHF, dehydration, pre-op, urology and GI conditions
• Administer various drips including cardiac, cardizem, nitro, insulin, and heparin
• Handle high volume of admissions and discharges with average stays up to 48 hours
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Mask required at all times during flu season if flu and COVID vaccinations are declined
