Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts with guaranteed 72 hours biweekly
• Overtime available after 80 hours worked in the second week
• 13-week contract length with ASAP start dates
• Rotating weekends and holidays (usually every 3rd)
• Float requirements to ICU and Med Surg units as needed
• Can be low censused and put on call with minimum 2-hour call back
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Must live 50 miles outside of facility
• Required certifications: Current MI RN license, ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 3 years experience required, 5 years strongly preferred
• Any colored scrubs required
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred
• Perform ED assessments and general nursing skills
• Care for geriatric patients with CHF or COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis, trauma patients, stroke patients, cardio-respiratory emergencies, pediatric patients, and other general medical concerns
• Charge RN shifts included in responsibilities
• Work in 9-bed ED with 2 negative pressure rooms and 2 trauma bays
• Staffing includes 2 RNs on day shift through 11 PM, 1 RN on nights with charge nurse assist
• Float to 2-bed ICU (only staffed when patients present) and 25-bed Med Surg unit with 4-5 isolation rooms
• Mandatory mask wearing during flu season if declining flu and vaccination (Aspirus policy)
