Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 2 years of ER experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Patient population includes neonates through geriatrics with 45% of patients being 65 or older
• Care for patients with geriatrics, chest pain, atrial fibrillation, and stroke conditions
• Higher acuity ESI Level 2-3 patients with average of 60 patients per day
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 for both day and night shifts
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• Holiday expectations include 1 summer and 1 winter holiday
• No call requirements
• No floating required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, NIH
• TNCC certification preferred
• Skills required include PIV starts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, cardiac drips, vasopressors
• TPA administration experience preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Work with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis systems
• Professional scrubs in any color required
• 2 days of hospital orientation plus one training shift on unit
• Time off requests approved with 7 days notice
• Free parking provided

Facility:

This 167-bed healthcare facility serves as a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with a Level II NICU. The emergency department features 18 beds and provides comprehensive emergency services with 24/7 support including hospitalist coverage, pharmacy services, respiratory therapy, and EICU capabilities. The facility maintains a highly engaged, teamwork-oriented, and collaborative culture with bedside telemetry monitoring and transfers higher level traumas, psychiatric, and pediatric cases to specialized facilities when needed.
