Opportunity:
RN - Admin
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 6-week scheduling cycle with every other weekend rotation
• Travelers expected to work 75% of holidays
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required: Illinois Nursing License, BLS, PALS
• NRP certification preferred
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking provided
• Patient ratio of 2:1
• Care for pediatric patients with respiratory conditions, congenital heart disease, hematology/oncology, post-op, and trauma cases
• Float to NICU and General Pediatrics as needed
• 2-day departmental orientation in PICU/PCICU
• Work with EPIC EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Medsonic monitors
• Support available from CNA, receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, and intensivist services

This 300-bed pediatric healthcare facility serves as a comprehensive children's hospital with trauma designation and teaching hospital status. The facility features specialized centers including chest pain and stroke centers, providing advanced pediatric care across multiple specialties. The Pediatric ICU/PCICU unit maintains 19-23 beds with an average daily census of 15-18 patients, supported by 24/7 intensivist, hospitalist, and respiratory therapy services. The facility promotes a teamwork-oriented and friendly unit culture focused on delivering exceptional pediatric care.
