Opportunity:

RN - L&D

Job Details:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted upon review
• Care for L&D patients 35+ weeks, GYN surgeries, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Patient ratios: 1:1 for laboring patients, 1:3 for couplets/antepartum/surgical patients
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM
• Perform NSTs, triage patients, postpartum and newborn assessments/care, and nursery care
• Work with EPIC EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing
• May float to inpatient units to act as sitter or in CNA role
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• On-call schedule varies based on contract
• Can wear scrubs of any color
• Support includes charge RN, resource RN, RRT, and OB MD with 30-minute call back time
• Orientation includes NEO and at least one shift to learn unit flow

This healthcare facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 64 beds, featuring a Labor & Delivery unit with 8 LDRP/Antepartum beds. The facility provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services with modern technology and equipment. The unit maintains excellent support systems including dedicated charge nurses, resource staff, and rapid response teams to ensure quality patient care.
