Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday expectations based on facility needs
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios
• Provide respiratory care for full lifespan of patients including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
• 2 years of experience required with full lifespan patient care
• Active Illinois license required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA), NRP, and either RRT or CRT
• EPIC experience required
• Technical skills required: Trachs, nitrous oxide procedures, proning techniques, ECMO, critical care experience, ventilator associated pneumonia prevention, spontaneous breathing trials, ABG draws
• Work with various equipment including PB840 and 980 ventilators, Servo-U and Hamilton ventilators, V60s and ResMed CPAP/BiPAP units, Optiflow, and Hamilton transport vents
• Chart using EPIC system
• Charcoal gray scrubs required
• One day orientation on unit
• May float to other hospitals within the PSA based on contract
• Free parking available

This healthcare facility is a 273-bed teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma Center designation and Magnet recognition for nursing excellence. The facility features a Level II NICU and serves as a Primary Stroke Center, providing comprehensive medical services to the community. The respiratory therapy department offers extensive support with supervisory staff and modern equipment to deliver high-quality patient care across all age groups.
