$250 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS

Opportunity:

RN - Home Health

Job Details:

• Work weekend program every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
• Field work in the Milwaukee territory providing hospice services to patients in their homes
• This is not a case management position and does not carry a caseload
• Perform daily end of life visits, PRN visits for symptom management, and occasionally stable routine visits
• See patients in community settings including homes, family member homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, nursing homes, and hospitals
• Care for hospice patients with life expectancy of 6 months or less (40% cancer patients, 60% other medical diagnoses)
• Complete 5-6 visits per 8-hour shift
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and state nursing license
• Must have IV skills, chest tube maintenance/pleurex drain experience, catheter insertion, tube feedings, triage skills, and wound care
• Experience with wound vac, PIV, midline, central line procedures required
• Must be competent with end of life care including pain and symptom management
• Experience with opioids and opioid equianalgesic table required
• Must be comfortable with EMR documentation on EPIC platform
• Need to be an independent critical thinker and problem solver
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Orientation includes equipment pick-up, online training, EPIC training, and precepted shifts
